Cornfields and CowsSitting in the Chicago airport right now coming home from a night at Cornerstone Festival in Illinois. Let me tell you, its in the middle of no where. Great to see small towns in America. I was there shooting with TWLOHA. Amazing time with Jamie and the crew, true blessing to see first hand what they are doing. Good music at Cornerstone as well as guys in girl jeans, long dude hair, and many people that haven't showered in a week. That's a documentary right there! Joking aside, so amazing to see people have a blast listening to music and not giving a crap to what anyone thinks.
Friday: July 04th, 2008 (04:24:44 PM) Homeboy.Been home 2 weeks now, and its glorious. Salah has been swimming like a fish and Silas is starting to walk. Its funny, cause I look at them only to forget about waiting on invoices, plane rides, and fustrations. Not sure if i spelled that last word right. The things we usually worry about are so small compared to the worries of some. I have a beautiful family, a house to live in, food to eat, and a great job. I am blessed. I just pray that I am making an impact as husband, father, friend, and filmmaker. There's my rambling for the day.

Tuesday: March 18th, 2008 (09:55:50 PM) New IdeaI am realizing that most of my year is going to be on the road. You meet and see so many amazing people and things along the way...this needs to be documented. Starting on my next trip, I am going to be starting a new film side project. Simply documenting life around me...traveling with my family, surfing, airports, people, landscapes, whatever. Another thing, is I have been dying to shoot film, so this project is going to be shoot entirely on super 16mm color and black and white film, really excited.

Thursday: February 07th, 2008 (12:17:46 PM) TWLOHAJust spent the last 2 days shooting a promo video for my good friend Jamie's outreach/mission called To Write Love On Her Arms. Their team is reaching out to young adults battling depression, addiction, and suicide through love, conversation, prevention, awarness, and music. Very honored to be working with them, its really been a breathe of fresh air. The team loves God, loves people, drinks a beer, speaks their heart, and radiates excitement. They are tackling heavy, heavy issues. Issues many people are scared and uncomfortable to talk about. As we finished shooting this evening, we agreed that only the surface scratched of telling these stories. Brokeness is beautiful, even though when you are going through the pain it doesn't feel that way. Check out what they are doing, and get involved. Promo video coming very soon.
